Internet marketing using social media

Nowadays social media websites are well-spread and used by almost everybody and every day.  Indeed, in most traditional media, you receive information that you can comment on but the big change about social media is that you can share your own information using text, pictures or videos and users can comment, share or review this information.  There are multiple types of social media websites such as social bookmarking to share and comment on websites bookmarked by other users (Delicious, Blinklist); social news to vote and comment about news articles; social networking to meet and interact within a friend or professional network which is among the most use and the most famous with for example Facebook and social photo and video sharing to share videos and pictures with all users with the ability to share and comment.  Most of social media websites helps companies to market their product in fact it is a powerful way to interact directly with prospects and clients. The biggest advantage is that most of them are free and easy to use but on the other hand if a business do not act wisely it can be very destructive to a company’s reputation. On top of a brand image or notoriety, social media proves to be very useful to help a website to rank well in search engines and as part of an effective internet marketing online strategy.
